Instagram publishing
Reviewer guide
UpsellConnect lets businesses and creators connect their own professional Instagram account and publish a photo immediately or schedule it for later.
Open the English publishing appTest the complete flow
- Sign in to UpsellConnect. Open the publishing app above. If prompted, use Dashboard to sign in with the reviewer credentials provided in the submission, then return to the publishing app. The selected English language is retained in this browser.
- Connect an Instagram account. Click “Connect with Instagram” and complete Instagram authorization with an eligible professional account. The connected username appears on the page.
- Create a photo post. Upload a JPEG photo or provide a publicly accessible HTTPS JPEG URL. Enter a caption and select “Publish now”.
- Approve the publication. Select the consent checkbox, then click “Publish now”. This action publishes real content to the connected account.
- Verify the result. The Publications list updates automatically. Wait for “Published” and its Instagram media ID, then open the connected account on Instagram and verify the photo and caption.
- Optional: test scheduling. Create another post, choose “Schedule”, and select a future time in the displayed device time zone. You can cancel the post while it is queued.
- Disconnect. Click “Disconnect and delete data”. The connected account and stored publication records are removed from active storage. Already published Instagram posts remain on Instagram.
Permissions demonstrated
instagram_business_basic

instagram_business_content_publish
Publishes the user's selected photo and caption to that connected account, immediately or at the scheduled time.
The publishing login requests these two permissions. Messaging, comment management and insights are not part of this review flow.
Before submitting for review
Provide working reviewer sign-in details and an eligible test account through Meta's private submission fields. Record a complete, successful connection and publication, including the resulting post on Instagram. This instruction page alone is not proof of a successful publication.
Current scope: one JPEG photo per post. Videos, Reels and carousels are not supported in this version. The administrator's configured test-token shortcut is separate from the customer OAuth flow and does not demonstrate customer authorization.
