20 AI agent examples that real businesses would pay for
Not sci-fi. Each example below is one job an agent does for a local business: what starts it, what it does, and which tools it uses. Filter by industry, add the ones you like to your offer, and see what that could be worth per month.
The AI agents that businesses actually use do one clear job: reply to new leads, book appointments, bring back customers, follow up on quotes, answer order questions. A multi-agent system chains several of those jobs, each handled by its own agent.
The examples — filter by industry
Every card has the same 3 parts: trigger (what wakes it up), does (the job) and tools (the apps it acts in).

What is a multi-agent system? (with an example)
One big agent that does everything is hard to test and breaks in strange ways. A multi-agent system gives each step its own small agent and lets them hand the work to each other.
Answers the new lead, asks 3 questions, scores the lead.
Offers open slots and books the call or visit.
Reminds, re-books no-shows, chases until a clear yes or no.
When to use it: as soon as one agent needs more than one goal. Start with a single agent; split it when the instructions get long or the agent starts mixing up jobs.
3 types of AI agents you see in business
Talk with customers on WhatsApp, chat, DM or phone and take an action: book, qualify, answer from the FAQ.
Run on a trigger or a schedule and move work between tools: invoices, reminders, reports, listing texts.
Several agents with one job each that hand work to each other, like the lead desk above.
Turn the examples into an offer
Businesses don't buy "AI". They buy a job that gets done every day. Set one up, keep it running, and charge a monthly fee. Play with the numbers:

Example math before costs (tools, usage, your time). An example, not a promise: your niche, price and delivery decide what you earn.

Questions
What is an example of an AI agent?
A lead agent for a dental clinic: when someone sends a WhatsApp message, it answers from the clinic FAQ and books a free slot in the calendar. It takes an action, not just gives an answer.
What is a multi-agent system?
One process split over several agents with their own job, for example qualify → book → follow up. Each agent stays simple and is easier to test.
What are the types of AI agents?
In business practice: conversation agents, workflow agents and multi-agent systems. See the three cards above.
Can I sell these AI agents to businesses?
Yes. Many builders pick one industry and one type of agent and charge monthly for running and improving it. There is no guaranteed amount; it depends on your niche, price and delivery.
