AI agent pricing: what agents cost and what to charge clients

Agent builders, white-label CRMs, voice AI and community tools: 14 price points, each linked to its public pricing page. Add up your own stack, then see what a client price leaves you as margin.

The short answer

The tools behind an AI agent cost roughly $9 to $750 a month per tool on public price lists, plus usage (voice is $0.07–$0.31 per minute at Retell AI). Agencies usually charge clients a setup fee plus a monthly fee for hosting, monitoring and improving the agent, priced on the value to the client, not on tool costs.

Step 1: what does your agent stack cost?

Tick what you use or plan to use. We pre-ticked a common starter stack (a CRM plus a workflow builder). List prices from the public pricing pages.

Stack per month$0
Stack per year$0

USD unless shown. n8n is billed in EUR. Voice is shown as a low–high range.

Step 2: what should you charge clients?

Clients don't pay for your tools. They pay for an agent that answers, books and follows up every day. The usual model is a one-time setup fee plus a monthly fee. Move the sliders; your stack cost from step 1 is subtracted automatically.

Your stack from step 1 (high end): $0/mo

Recurring per month$3,750
After stack cost$3,603
First year incl. setup$52,500
Clients for $10k/month14

Example math. EUR tools are counted 1:1 as a rough estimate; model usage, hosting, taxes and your time are not included. An example, not a promise: your niche, price and delivery decide what you earn.

3 ways agencies price AI agents

No price list for client work exists. These are the common models; pick the one that fits the job.

🧱 Setup + monthly

A setup fee for building and connecting the agent, then a monthly fee for hosting, monitoring and improving it. The most common model and the base of a recurring income.

📞 Usage included

For voice or high-volume chat: include a set number of minutes or messages in the monthly fee and charge for extra use. Check your per-minute cost first.

🎯 Value-based

Price on what the agent is worth: hours saved, leads answered at night, appointments booked. Your tool costs set the floor, not the price.

Agents need hosting, monitoring and updates every month, so a monthly fee matches the work and builds recurring income.
