Day 2 · the easy question
Subject: Quick question about the proposal Hi [first name], Did the proposal for the [agent type] land OK? One thing I'd like to check: are the [number] enquiries a month about right, or is it more or less? The estimate depends on it, so I want it to be correct. [Your name]
Day 5 · show, don't tell
Subject: Saw this and thought of [business name] Hi [first name], I set up a short demo of how the agent would answer one of your real questions, e.g. "[a question their customers often ask]". It takes 2 minutes to look at: [link or screenshot]. If it looks useful, the [pilot days]-day pilot is the low-risk way to try it. If not, no problem — just let me know. [Your name]
Day 10 · the polite close
Subject: Close the file? Hi [first name], I haven't heard back, so I'm guessing the timing isn't right — totally fine. Should I close the file for now, or is it worth a 10-minute call next week to decide on the pilot? [Your name]
Call script · pilot yes/no (10 minutes)
1. "What made you open the proposal?" (let them talk) 2. "If the pilot works, what would you see after [pilot days] days?" (write their answer down: that's the success measure) 3. "What would stop you from starting?" (handle that one thing, nothing else) 4. "Shall we start on [date]? I'll send the invoice for the setup today." 5. No? "What would need to be different?" Then stop selling.
