Free AI agent course: build and sell AI agents in 10 short lessons.

I teach people how to make money with AI by building agents that do real jobs for local businesses. Ten lessons, one small action each. No theory you won't use.
Jarvy is the AI presenter of UpsellConnect. The lessons are written by the team that builds and runs AI agents for businesses.- How many clients it takes to replace a salary, before you build anything.
- What local businesses actually pay an AI agent to do.
- How to price it: setup fee plus monthly fee, starting with a paid pilot.
- Where your first client is, how to deliver in 14 days, and how to build it without code.
- Bonus: what to answer when they say "too expensive", 5 niches to start with and the tool stack.
The 10 lessons
Lesson 1: Do the math first

Before you open any tool, know what you're aiming for. AI agents are sold as a monthly service: you build one agent that answers customers, books appointments or follows up leads, and the business pays you every month to keep it running.
1 client × €500/mo€500/mo
5 clients × €500/mo€2,500/mo
10 clients × €500/mo€5,000/mo
20 clients × €500/mo€10,000/mo
Example math on a common monthly price, not an income claim. Your niche, price and effort decide the result.
Your move: Write down the monthly number you want and divide it by €500. That's how many clients you need.
Lesson 2: Sell a job, not AI

Nobody wakes up wanting "AI". A dentist wants fewer missed calls. A gym wants leads that don't go cold. Sell a job that already costs the business money today:
- Answer every call and message, 24/7
- Book, reschedule and remind (fewer no-shows)
- Follow up every new lead within minutes
Your move: Pick one job and one niche (dentists, gyms, salons). That sentence is your first offer.
Lesson 3: Price the job, not your hours

Two parts. A one-off setup fee for building the agent and connecting it to their phone, calendar or CRM. A monthly fee for hosting, monitoring and improving it. Start with a short paid pilot on one job, show the result, then move to the monthly plan.
Setup fee (example)€1,000
12 × monthly fee of €500€6,000
1 client, year 1€7,000
Example prices, not an income claim.
Lesson 4: Find your first client

Your first client is not a stranger.
- Businesses you already know. Your dentist, gym, salon, garage. Ask what costs them time every week.
- Google Maps reviews. Search a local niche and read the reviews. "Never picks up the phone" is a job an AI agent can do.
- A small paid pilot. Offer 2 weeks on that one job, then the monthly plan.
"Hi [name], I noticed a few reviews mention it's hard to reach you by phone. I set up AI assistants that answer calls and messages 24/7 and book appointments. Want me to run a 2-week pilot for [business]?"
Lesson 5: Deliver a pilot in 14 days

The pilot is your sales pitch.
Day 1–2Map the one job and agree on one number to track, like missed calls.
Day 3–6Build it with their FAQ, prices and opening hours. Test 20 real questions.
Day 7–14Switch it on and send a short weekly report.
Day 14Show what the agent did and offer a fixed monthly plan.
Lesson 6: Build it without code

You don't need to code. You need 5 building blocks:
- Knowledge. The FAQ, prices and opening hours in one doc.
- Instructions. The tone, what it may answer, what it must never say.
- Channel. Where customers already ask: website chat, WhatsApp or phone.
- One action. Book the appointment or capture the lead.
- Human handoff. When it's unsure, it passes the chat to a person.
Your move: Test it with 20 real customer questions before it goes live.

Lesson 7: One task, one number

Most first deals fail because the agent tries to do everything. Keep it small enough to prove:
- One boring problem. Missed calls, slow replies, no-shows. Something they already complain about.
- One task. The agent does that one job, nothing else.
- A paid 14-day pilot. Small, paid, with a start and an end date.
- One number. Agree before you start what you'll count, like calls answered or appointments booked.
- Day 14: show the number. Then offer the monthly fee.
Your move: Write the one number you'll track for your first pilot in one sentence.
Lesson 8: Answer the 4 objections

You'll hear the same four. Have the answer ready, and never answer with a discount:
"It's too expensive."Compare it to what the problem costs them now, then offer the small paid pilot first.
"My customers want a human."The agent handles the repeat questions and hands anything unusual to a person.
"I tried a chatbot, it was bad."This one does one job with their own FAQ, prices and hours, and you test it before it goes live.
"Let me think about it."Ask what they need to see, and make the pilot so small it's an easy yes.
Your move: Write your own answer to "too expensive" before your first call.
Lesson 9: 5 agents for 5 local niches

Don't sell "AI". Sell the job each niche already struggles with:
- Dentists: recalls and fewer no-shows
- Salons: answer DMs at 9pm and book them
- Home services: call back a missed call within 2 minutes
- Real estate: qualify leads and book viewings
- Restaurants: take reservations around the clock
Your move: Pick one niche from this list and find 10 of those businesses near you on Google Maps.
Lesson 10: The 5-layer tool stack

Every agent you sell is built from the same five layers. You don't need all of them on day one:
- Brain. The language model, like Claude or GPT.
- Workflows. The automation that moves data, like n8n or Make.
- Chat. The chat interface, like Voiceflow.
- Voice. Phone agents, like Vapi or Retell.
- Memory. Where customer data lives, like Airtable or Google Sheets.
Your move: Start with layers 1 and 2 only. Add chat or voice when a client needs it.
